Our Company
Economy Tree Service, Inc. has been taking care of trees in Maryland for more than 30 years. Our yard and office are at 100 Arrington Road in Queenstown, just off US 50, and from there our crews work across the Eastern Shore in Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Kent and Caroline Counties. We are a full-service tree company. We remove trees of every size, trim and prune, grind stumps, clean up after storms, clear phragmites from shorelines and ponds with our Marsh Master, and sell seasoned firewood. Homeowners, farms, marinas, HOAs, contractors and businesses all call us, and we work hard to deliver the highest quality work at economical prices.
When a storm comes through, we are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hurricanes, nor’easters and the tornadoes that have hit Kent Island, Queenstown, Ridgely and Trappe in recent years are part of life on the Shore, and we know how fast a fallen tree needs to come off a roof or out of a driveway.
Licensed, Insured and Certified
Maryland requires a license for tree work done for hire. Our work is led by a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert, license LTE# 1929, and we are fully licensed and insured. That license matters on the Shore: counties and towns often ask for a licensed tree expert’s letter before they approve removing a tree in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area, and we provide it.
We are also members of the International Society of Arboriculture and follow the ISA code of ethics. Keeping up with training is part of the job, from safe climbing and rigging to tree health, pests like emerald ash borer and spotted lanternfly, and the replanting rules that come with waterfront work.
We are permitted to move and sell wood under Maryland rules, so logs, brush and firewood from your job are handled the right way.
How We Work on Every Job
Every job starts with a free estimate. We come out, look at the trees, the access and what sits around them, and give you a clear price before any work begins. If permits or replanting are involved, we explain that up front too.
On the day of the job, our crew protects your house, lawn and landscaping, takes trees down safely, often in sections on tight lots, and cleans up when we are done. We can grind the stumps on the same visit and haul away the debris.
